St. Marcellus Day Pilgrimage in South Bend


St. Marcellus Day 2011
October 30, 2011
Bones of this saint are kept at Notre Dame’s Sacred Heart Basilica, and each year on his feast day
pilgrims visit those relics… and consider the meaning of his witness for peace 1,700 years ago!

2 pm:  Pilgrimage begins at St. Joseph Church, South Bend, and heads to Notre Dame,
making stops for songs, prayers, and a dramatic presentation of the Trial of St. Marcellus.

4 pm:  Prayer service at the Basilica, with special guest:
JACK JEZREEL, JustFaith Ministries
“Preparing Our Children to be Saints, Prophets and Martyrs”
Music by Sacred Waters Kirtan -  call and response interactive style.

5 pm:  COOKOUT and shuttle service back to St. Joe’s
